10 miles round trip of biking, the rest by Metro Rail. This is if I bike past the closest Metro stop in the morning and evening. and go to the next one to catch the train. If I bike to the closest stop to my house, the commute is 9 miles round trip. I am contemplating the jump to skipping two Metro stops before getting on in the morning, which would add another mile or so to the commute each way, or about 12 miles total, if I also got off at that stop on the ride home (which traffic-wise, might not work so well). As with previous poster, I tend to hover around 11-12 mph average.
