I did a great road ride up and down some hills on the first part of my commute, along a route I've never taken before. It was warm, about 60, and I was flying.
The reason I took a different route is that I met a coworker at her house and rode in with her (it was her first bike commute). The last 4 miles were much slower but that was okay; I got a good ride in early.
