Personal Cycling Data Questionnaire

What type of cycling do you do? Recreational and Competitive Road, Commuting

What information do you rely on while cycling? Mileage, Odometer, Time, Current Speed, Avg. Speed, Max Speed, Peak Power, Time in Zones, Current Power, Avg. Power, Max. Power, Current HR, Avg. HR, Current Cadence, Avg. Cadence, Energy Expenditure, GPS data, other_________________________________.

Speed, avg. speed, mileage, odometer, time, max speed

Do you use the same information with all of your biking (road, mountain, cycle-cross, trainer, commuting, ...). If not, how does the information differ and why? I use speed and mileage for all my riding, but max speed, avg speed, and time for recreation and training.

What information would you like to have that you don't have already? Is there something already out there that you don’t have and is there something not on the market that you feel would be useful?

Altimeter would be cool and i know i would use that. power and cadence would be good for training, but i don't know if i would use it often.

What factors determine the information you use currently? Price, what's available, desire, quality, etc. The basic functions: speed, mileage, odometer, trip distance are what i look for at a base line; everything else is just fun to know.

Do you feel that having as much information as possible is or would be a benefit to you? Please explain. No, i think that an excess of information would only be a hassle and a waste of money if im paying for it.

Do you feel that being able to have this information on all your bikes is or would be a benefit? Please explain. Yeah, its good to know how much mileage you have on each bike, but again, it would probably be a waste to have more info than necessary.

What do you do with the information when you’re done with your ride? I take my mileage and time from my rides and record them on Plus 3 Network.

Do you feel that having a way to keep track of this information is or would be a benefit to you? Please explain. Being able to track and record this information is nice, and can be very beneficial to training. Knowing how i did on one ride, than a month or so later seeing how fast i can do the same ride, i can track my overall progress. A cycling computer is just a great accessory to have.
