When a new rookie comes, in are there oldtimers who look down on them until they prove themselves to their standards(which you may never reach even if you wanted to)? Same in everything. I have been a paid firefighter for over 16 years and you know what??? I have never met what you refer to as a snoby firefighter, yeah rookies get thare share of razzing but believe me when the s*** hits the fan we are a TEAM depending on each other so we can get home and see our families.
