I was lucky and Prostate Cancer cured by surgery. Reckon the reason I survived- or part of the reason- was cycling. It gave me the fitness to pull through and the will to get back to riding. Of the 7 of us who met at the Clinic before the op- 5 died. The other was a marathon runner who wanted to complete his 50th marathon before he was 50. He didn't manage it though as Radio therapy stopped his training. He did his 60th marathon last year.
