EDIT: And, if anyone is wondering what I'm doing up, now--it's because after the explosive flat, I placed my spare tire on the rear rim.

I woke up, and remembering that the spare was on, I started agonizing over whether I should put another tire on or leave the spare on. The new tire won the honors--the spare is tucked safely back into it's saddle bag.
