They were never sponsored by DeRosa but rather had an agreement with DeRosa's US importer Trialtir. This is why they used the LAS Helmets, Stella Azura products etc. This is also why they were unable to get more bikes when they needed them and resorted to purchasing bikes from other vendors in order to "test" them out.
