Hey everybody. I've been slowly building a 29er over the last few months. Very slowly actually due to lack of funds, but that's another story...

Last night I finally built my wheels - XT hubs, delgado rims, double butted spokes... I'm planning to buy tires/tubes/rim strips this week. Any recommendations on tires? I'll be mostly riding wooded singletrack - your typical mix of dirt, mud, and tree roots. Perferably they'd be tires that Performance sells because I have a gift certificate that I can use. No worries if they're only available elsewhere though.

I did a search and the only recommendation I came up with was Panaracer Fire Cross tires. I've been happy with their road tires in the past. Are there other tires I should be looking at though?
