I think the Tange fork may be a replacement, and the whole thing was repainted. The stay caps are unique and I don't recognize 'em, I suspect a good builder since those Campy vertical DOs wouldn't be used on junk, but...the lugwork doesn't seem stellar, nor that BB shell. edit, oh you said it was repainted, then the steerer may give you a clue as to whether that fork was original.

Sorry, I don't have a sharp close up. Seat post size is 26.4.
I checked the steerer tube last night, and all it reads is TANGE.
It is a strange frame, isn't it? The head tube lugs and the seat cluster are simple, but nice, and then the bottom bracket shell is just kinda plain. Could this be an Italian frame with an English BB shell? or maybe an English frame? I don't think the fork is original, otherwise the dropouts wouldn't be Campy... The frameset is definitely double-butted.
Any thoughts?
