It rose to an outrageous 13.2C(56F) on Monday here. This is a complete contrast to what we had earlier in the month. My city only got 6.5cm (2.5 inches) of snow, but not very far away, there was 30cm (a foot) of snow in a country not used to the white stuff. It paralysed the city's transport network. You may laugh at that if you come from a cold place but most people here don't have snow tires. One day, the high was 0.1C. Our normal February high is 8.4C, but I got so used to it being cold.
It's been very mild overnight the last few days. It's nice to have weather which obliges cyclists to wear only shorts and a t shirt in the afternoon.
You say an eyelid froze at -20F? Are you telling me you were without eyewear in -29C. That's colder than anything ever recorded even in the most severe Winters in the highlands of this country.
