They're not non-lethal, they are less lethal.
from the information that I have read, the incidents of deaths or pernament injury are very rare.I took one day training seminar in its use (which doesn't make me an expert) and have taught classes in the use of o.c.pepper spray. If you are being assaulted on the street, are you going to worry too much about injury to the attacker, or protecting yourself from injury? O.C pepper is better than shooting someone, isn't it?
