Double-sided carpet tape will do fine. I use a 2" width tape for small jobs like this. Peel the backing tape on one side off an area bigger than your decal and apply the back of the decal to the exposed sticky side of the tape. Cur around the decal with small scissors or a modelling knife, then peel the other backing tape off the decal and apply. It won't melt your decal - some glues with solvents might.
