Got 3rd in the Cat 4's...

A good number of us (25 or so) got away on the first lap after some good hammering and guttering work, and on the second lap several of us launched attack after attack until there were 7 left. #7 cramped up with 4-5 miles to go. Three of us attacked with 3-4 miles to go, but only one was strong enough to hold our small gap, and two of us fell back to the remaining 3 of the break. At the base of the finishing hill (a 1000m long climb) a guy (who had been sitting in on the break most of the day) jumped and I followed. The other 3 didn't respond. As we came up on the finish line I came around and stood on the pedals, but it was too late. Missed 2nd by half a wheel.

Overall, brutal race, windy as HELL, attacks all day long, the guys that came to make a break got what they wanted and finished in the money.
