I'm decent at wrenching. I did a UBI course. But building from scratch scares me. I'll tinker and convert old bikes to single speeds, but taking **** off of crappy bikes is easier than putting good parts on a good bike.

The reviews about the CAAD9 are all amazing. I was really impressed with the lack of bad feedback.

I'm also looking at Felt F85 and 95 and the lower end Z series bikes. Lemond Reno. Of course the is the Spec Allez. Trek 1.5 or 2.1. Bianchi Via Nirone frame. Or Fuji Roubaix, Jamis etc.

But nothing receives as glowing feedback as the CAAD9

Of course, those are all 2009 models. I'd prefer getting a higher end bike that is a few years old.
