easy to say when you don't know the whole situation, but yes, i realize i was in the wrong, but i was shocked still that he made a rather large scene swerving his car to a skidding halt and swinging his door open. he could have simply stopped and opened his door : /

i do respect what he was doing, i do not doubt that i was in the wrong, and i probably won't go that way again, however. . . others will, and i think the reason i was taking that route is simply because i felt like the rules are more "guidelines" (to take the quote from pirates )

i act completely differently when i'm on roads not part of campus, as soon as i cross that line, i'm a different biker entirely.

i was simply wondering if anybody else felt this way, and how do you think that this attitude can be changed?

obviously most people on campus are not "experienced" bikers, most just use their bikes on simple 1 mile jaunts across the schoolgrounds, as such, most people use their bikes where they would walk
