Couple of different ones.

The two recent ones were Cat 3-> 2 I believe he was short 1 or 2 upgrade points and got denied.

....and 4 -> 5.

The 4->5 the guy finished in front of me during every race we did together. He has more than 10 starts if you count ABR. Didn't go. Our team captain is a USAC coach, Cat 1, etc....and he even re-requested for the guy and got nothing.

It's sick 'cause the guy has plenty of experience and should be a 4. The kicker is I don't think I had 10 mass road starts in USAC. I had something like 20 if you counted cyclocross and ABR. I got the upgrade, but don't know if that's just because I got in before the ABR shutout or if it's because he considered my cross starts....

It's just weird 'cause I view the 5->4 as being experienced based and not based on points so who cares which racing association you get your experience from.....

...also it really f's with some of our planned tactics for certain events because he won't be in the fields we hoped he'd be in.

I read that interview, but kind of wanted to see if this was just happening to us here or if it was country wide.
