Was hoping to lead out a team-mate that is close to upgrading to the 2's so with half a lap to go (5 miles) I found him near top 20 and stuck near him. With 1k to go we were stuck behind a wall of riders with nowhere to advance...we waited too long and found ourselves boxed in completely. hit the last right hand turn and overtook a dozen or so riders but the race was over (a metro mint rider had soloed off the front for the win to my dismay) aaaaah crap -always sucks to finish a race with lots of matches to burn.

fitness is coming along nicely as is the weight loss - this was a c race (first rr of the season) so i cant complain...too much
Yeah, when a 3s race is coming down to a sprint, things really get choked up. If you get the chance again, I'd say you could help your guy out best by heading to the front with 3k to go and just set a blistering pursuit pace.
