Get the M5 Alum, don't upgrade anything it's a damn fine bike. The carbon is for XC racing. If it is used for everyday normal usage, you risk the carbon breaking and you taking a nasty fall.
Are you getting FS or HT ? Not that it matters for the question at hand though........Go HT though, HT>>FS
Thanks for the advice. Any reason the HT is a better option? I have to get a full susp because my insurance is reimbursing me for my old bike, I was thinking of selling the bike once i get it and possibly get something else instead.
