The ol '91 Bike Mobile just keeps humming right along. It has a number of cosmetic issues but still runs very, very well. Come to think about it, it is older than my son and also seen 3 of our pets come and go. We're the original owners. My wife handed it over to me about 250,000 miles ago.
It is perfect for transporting bikes as I can just roll bikes right in the back and attach them to the sides of the vehicle-the bikes don't even need any of their wheels removed or my saddle lowered.
Heck, it might even be the transportation that gets us out to Glenwood Springs this August.
As of today it has 496,000+ miles and climbing. If it makes it to 500k I might just reward it with a new muffler. I'm probably adding about 3000 +/- miles a month so we're getting pretty close. We're wanting to plan an appropriate celebration for the big event.
I need some ideas on how to appropriately celebrate the event.
What would you suggest??? The person with the winning idea gets one free ride!!
