it's a shame about team columbus races. like ck, our team is currently discussing the potential for racing any of them. i was interested in 2, the mid ohio race and the hueston woods race. i think i am headed down to louisville on the 14th instead of mid ohio, but may end up going to the hueston woods race.

anyway, the races don't count towards upgrade points as tym was banned by usac. team columbus has a ban on it as well. right now they are doing who knows what as far as insurance and things go. i don't think they are abr, and i am certain they aren't usac. lack of insurance + somewhat sketchy rider support sounds bad to me.

in fairness, i have heard that the races were a lot more organized and supported later in the 2008 season. it may be that you could have a decent race, albeit one not counting for anything more than the prizes and whatever fitness you gain. costs aren't too bad, especially if you are a junior.
