I acquired a used '08 Giant Trance X1 that was shipped to me with the Hayes Stroker Trail brake unit unbolted from the fork for shipping. I need advice on re-installing it properly, given that there is a thick washer along with a thin washer for the mounting bolts. Where do I fit the thick washer? Does it fit under the bolt head along with the thin washer or does it fit between the brake unit and the U-shaped spacer (which is itself between the brake unit and fork mounts)?
