Anyways I'm wondering if the Razor bottle is worth the $55 I paid for it? The way I see it is whats the point of having aero tubes and a wheel cutout if your going to stick a water bottle and cage that is 3x wider than the seat tube on my P2-SL. The Razor bottle is thin and should help make the bike more aero in a headwind since it increases the cross section of the frame.
I'm doing a 12 mile TT tomorrow and would normally not carry a bottle for that distance, but this course has a few hills where I will be out of my aero position anyway and could probably use some hydration. It has also been very windy here in Hawaii, and I'm thinking about not using the bottle at all cause I will be in some pretty strong cross winds (not even planning to run my deep section front wheel, just the rear).
What do you think? Is the Razor bottle worth the $$$ or should I just suck it up and go bottle free???
It will be more aero, but not for the reasons you have listed.
