I have replaced the screw and nut on both Campagnolo and Simplex clamps with with 4mm stainless ones from Bolt Depot. The original nuts are attached, but they snap off easily. They'll never rust.

I think you're going to love that bike. There's something special about the way they ride. My Gitane TdF is the best riding bike I've ever ridden.
