NYU is arguably the priciest college in North America. I'd love for my daughter to go there, but without financial aid, I don't think we have the $200K. Some of these schools are insane. When I went there the tuition was going UP to $5K a year for 1980-1981 (I graduated in 1980). You want to adust that for inflation? That puts you at about $15K annually. What's the tuition @ NYU now? $35K annually (exclusive of living costs)? That's true across the college spectrum. College tuition has outstripped inflation to the point where it is increasingly becoming Higher Education for the Upper Class.

Oh well. F the Middle Class.
