Do it yourself? are you crazy? this is a mountain bike part, everyone knows that you must take your bike and all it's components to the lbs or there will certainly be a disaster. Don't you know that some of those fork thingy's have springs and stuff that could spring out and get stuck in your eye or something. now if it were me I may try working on a front fork but I would never attempt the rear fork because everyone knows that they have springs in them that could spring out at warp speed and injure the unsuspecting bicycle owner. so i think you may just want to leave this one for the pro's like me. if you would like some help with this stupendously dificult job then i would suggest that you send it to me, i mean my bike shop.....
