Yeah, I forgot that part of the story: For the first time in months my bike saw the little gear. I used it on the last mile 1/4 slog up the steep hill I live on. I knew miles before then that I was probably going to use it. I even considered that I may have to walk

up. I haven't walked my bike up that hill in over a year. Hmm, come to think of it, the last time I did walk up was after I blew up on a climb.
