I just got a set of the PD-M324 and they are slightly more so I'm gonna guess the mechanism is pretty much identical. I rode with them and MTB shoes on a 32 mile club ride today and they were great. 1st time out and I didn't fall or come anywhere close to it once! The cleats are ones that you can unclip in more than one direction of motion (i..e not just heel-out).
