You are however mentioned the Competitive Fit which, as the current trend, favors a smaller frame that has to be compensated with a longer stem. The fit also implies a larger saddle-handlebar drop for more aerodynamics. It's a racer fit.
I do prefer the Eddy Fit which is more traditional yet effective (Eddy Merckx wasn't too bad). This fit favors a more upright position.
Their French Fit allows for an even more comfy fit, more prone for recreational and touring riders.
I just bought a new bike and used the Competitive Cyclist calculator to pick a frame size. It went against the advice of a savy friend and and I went up one size for a comfort "French Fit". I felt better on the 56cm than on all the 54s I had test rode previously. I don't know if I can trust the calculator or not, but so far I feel very comfortable with my chioce.
