I was very dissapointed with my brief dalliance on a Marzocchi after being on Motion Control/Mission Control and Maxle equipped Rock Shox forks for a few years prior. My two short experiences with Manitiou where even worse.
Yes, they've had a few bad things, but overall I feel the quality and performance is for sure above Manitou and Marzocchi at the moment. Ease of working on them, parts and instructions/tuning/maintanence info being readily available makes a difference as well.
