Status: relieved, training again. I rode for about an hour today. I have no hamstring discomfort. YES! The new position is also astonishingly comfortable in almost every respect. Whatever anatomical asymmetry I have is causing me to sit cockeyed on the saddle, which causes some discomfort, and I don't dare raise the saddle because my hamstring is still healing, but it would appear that I can ride again without causing myself injury. Now I just need to shim up my cleats and get my fit straightened up. In theory next week is a rest week, but I don't need rest right now, so I'll just take a typical training week, without going nuts, and see how that feels.
Six weeks until Battenkill. A bit hard to believe. I may just be able to do one or two training crits before then. We'll see.
