no it's not.
the brilliant thing about rss is that it's been utilized by developers and embraced by the web's users as a way to recieve alerts to the info you want without ever having to open a browser.
opening a page just to get to a webpage is a far inferior concept. post #4 was dead on; agregators really are 1990s, unless you really don't know how to use the internet... in which case, enjoy.
no offense to the OP, but it's not like he did something complicated; in fact, i bet his code is dynamically generated uses rss itself, in which case he probably used a pre-written rss agregator snippet out there and plugged in a bunch of fixed gear sites.
