Comparing a cycling cap to a lettuce leaf? Oh, classic. You're betraying your ignorance and stupidity with every word. Cycling caps are useful, some people where them as a fashion statement. Woop-dee-****ing-doo.
Excerpt from the C.O.N.I Manual
"...In days of blazing sun, the head should be further protected either with a cabbage leaf placed under the cap or by moving back the visor or the latter to create a large area of shadow on the most exposed and delicate part of the head, namely, the cerebellum."

I NEVER see people with the cabbage under their cap OR my more reasonable idea of a head of lettuce under the helmet without a cap.

The act of riding a bicycle is irrelevant to this argument.
