Dayum. Nice job Ex. How did the rest of the weekend go?
Good. Worked for my teammate who made the long drive from SA. He got second in the crit from a 2 man break and fourth in the RR out of that break. I took 3rd in the crit after doing two "last" laps OTF of the field. The official got a bit confused and left the one lap sign up for two laps, yelled at us to keep going when we should have been finished.
We didn't have the overall results in hand but thought we had things covered going into Sunday, we didn't realize one guy was still close enough to take the win and let him into the winning break with my teammate. I just rode the rest of the race like a hard training ride and sat up in the field sprint thinking we were OK. Nope. So we were 2/3 instead of 1/2 like we thought.
I hate omniums. Nothing like killing yourself in two races the day before to see a bunch of chipper fresh legs show up the next day
