Yep, certainly use carbon assembly paste for carbon to carbon, carbon to metal, and even metal to metal. It won't hurt, but can certainly help. Products like Tacx Carbon Assembly Compound allow you to use slightly less torque when tightening the bolts; you reduce the danger of shearing them.
