I also think that your saddle seems too low in that picture. Even if your foot is not all the way down, that knee looks pretty high to me.

If you look back over the last 1,000,000 or so threads, you will find that The Historian has an unusual body shape, due to a back problem and lists to one side slightly, I don't remember which way, and photos can be deceiving for this..... This is why his saddle is lower then it normally should be.

Neil, I wonder if you might require a custom saddle, that has the same list, although that creates the problem of wanting to slide off to one side, which might require some method of preventing this, some kind of strap or belt to hold you in place maybe. If you could find out which way the saddle must tilt and by how much, you might be able to get a custom saddle made. It needs to be made by someone or a company that can hand weld/bend the frame though, Brooks might be the best choice, but I can't see such a saddle being inexpensive. Mind you a saddle maker might be willing to underwrite much of the development cost, if they can get a product out of it, with a reasonable market. Then again there is always the recumbent idea.....
