There's nothing French about the Mercier. It's as American as every other Taiwanese-manufactured product!

Are you worried about your heel hitting the chainstay? I've never had a problem with this. My toe hits the front wheel, but only if I'm practically sitting still and everything is in just the right spot.

I'm also only 6'0 and not-so-much legs, but unless your feet are like 18 inches long I don't think this'll be a problem for you
