I'm looking for some advice on purchasing a road bike. It'll be my first one and hopefully will turn into a frequently used commuter bike. I'm definitely buying used. At 6'1, I"m thinking a 58cm bike (60?). Specifically, I found a 200? Cannondale R300 and a 1990s Trek 2100, both for about 400$. Or I could just get a 70s or 80s vintage road bike for 200..

Any preferences? Suggestions for a newb? Quirky sizing issues I should know about with either brand?
