The Michelins measure a true 25 mm in height (from rim to outside diameter), and I suspect the Conti 25s measure about 26-27 in height. I know the Contis are taller because their diameter is larger when I measured it using the "roll out method" for calibrating my bike computer.

If the Michelins are wider, but the Contis taller, would that mean that both tires give the same amount of cushion? I never thought about tire height, only widths. I'm not into racing, I just need a cushiony (word?) tire. I'm 135 lbs, and run both front and backs at 90 psi.
