You still haven't gotten the point that not all road bikes are racing bikes. And there is a significant difference between a "hybrid" and various non-racing road bikes (like touring, sport touring and randonneuring bikes).
Likewise, some haven't gotten it that not all roadies are racers or ultra long distance riders. Some are just in need of a certain amount of exercise each day and the bicycle is the chosen way to achieve it.
