I am only going by the scratches on my bikes, what i see underneath on the top tubes of both bikes is chrome (but as mentioned by bob barker it is not polished). Also under the scratches on the seat stays on the 'tri-colore'. Both bikes are 56cm btw. Thanks for the comments.
