I rode Look pedals for years, starting back when they were first introduced, but switched to Speedplay X-2 about 10 years ago. I've had no problerms with the full float and much prefer the double-sided entry that I can click into without looking at the pedal. I've had no cleat problems, as long as I occassionally check the tightness of the mounting screws. Few pedals have a stack height that is as low as a Speedplay, particularly if you have shoes with the 4-bolt pattern that eliminates the 3-hole adapter.

The X cleat is bad if you ever step into mud, so keep cleat covers handy if that is a possibility.
