Kawamura or Nishiki Pro?
I bought an unusual frame and fork for a neighbor and was told it was a Kawamura or a Nishiki Pro. Has been completely repainted so there's no graphics on it at all. (I'll post pics soon, but meanwhile...) It is unusual to me in a couple features: has a large "K" shaped cutout in the BB shell (at least it LOOKS like a K) and these Suntour VERTICAL dropouts I've never seen before. That seems to indicate an 80s frame but it has NO cable guides on the top tube and has the old style brazed guides on the top of the BB shell, braze on shifter bosses and looks drilled for Allen head recessed brake bolts. Seems like a strange blending of old and new fashions from the early 70s to the mid 80s...anybody familiar with features like these? Lugs have sort of triangle cutouts, decent construction and decent weight. Any help IDing it is appreciated.
