People that know me are so used to me biking every where that I don't get quite as much attention for it as I used to- and I used to claim it didn't matter- now I realize it does! So thanks, yes, it is a ROUGH commute- especially when it starts getting cold. But the truth is I love it.
Now comes the time when bikers start appearing every where on my commute and I wonder why the seas don't part as I come riding along!- I want to wear a sign that says, "I rode all winter. Get out of my way!"

Unfortunately, it earns me no special privileges so I appreciate your comment.
To anyone that commuted all winter in a snowy, windy, icy, bitter, salty, sandy, potholed, slushy, slippery, freezing, dark, mess- BRAVO!!!! WE did it! And now it's almost spring!

You are a madman. Just putting that out there. I'll absolutely give respect where it's due, but you're a madman just the same.
Yay spring! You're coming up on roadwork season, one of the 4 New England seasons: before winter, winter, after winter, roadwork season.
My ride in was great today, but I did break down and take BART (train) for a portion of it. I rode around a lot last night and don't want to beat myself into the ground too quickly.
