The all carbon HSC-4 fork on my two year old Look 555 road bike is getting a bit long in the tooth and am considering replacing that fork with a carbon fork with aluminum steerer. I am a pretty big guy and ride a lot of bad roads and think I will forgo the modest weight savings of a CF steerer and opt for an aluminum steerer for safety. I also run a pretty good stack of spacers under the stem.
Can anybody recommend a good carbon fork with aluminum steerer that is compatible with Look's integrated headset?
