Thanks for your advice Joe. The carbon steerer under the spacers is lightly abraided....in part due to multiple handlebar and stem and spacer stack changes to dial the fit in. I am a bit at a loss why there is some degradation to the CF steerer as there doesn't seem to be any stress riser due to the spacers. The light abrasion is right at the front of the steerer about 20mm or so up from the top the head tube. I run correct torque specs and just under a 40mm spacer stack under a Thomson stem. I am considering an aluminum steerer this time. The bike btw has been great.
I thought the HSC series forks may have been compatible with the Look integrated head set and thanks for setting me straight that there is nothing unique to that fork and that many will work with the Look headset.
