If possible, I would change to a steeper stem angle in order to reduce the amount of spacer. LOOK only provides 3cm with the frames, when new (plus a 5mm top-specific spacer).

I wouldn't be concerned with a little abrasion either, but for piece of mind, there are ways to permanently reinforce the steering tube, if a little extra weight doesn't bother you.
