Interesting that someone raised the issue that most people who get in an accident with a train say they, "...didn't see it". C'mon, You didn't see a 105,000 pound FREAKING TRAIN??!! Truth is, you had your head up your nether regions. If you don't see a train, what chance has a bicylclist got? NONE.

I work in construction management for the MTA in L.A. on rail construction projects. I have seen lots and lots of accident footage and its gruesome. In fact, its probably the same as footage of car/bike accidents except in those its YOU AND I that are the gruesome part. I'm riding as though no one EVER sees me from now on.
