Everyone, everyone knows south philly starts at wash. yes TECHNICALLY its south (hence the name), but the culture isn't there till wash. However, currently there is a motion to set to barrier back to washington OFFICIALLY. Either way the neighborhood starts at wash. And if it is at south, what about neighborhoods like queen village between south and wash, or are they not really a neighborhood, but instead just part of south philly. If your not considering that a neighborhood, then your on a different plane than me.

see, this is how things get confusing for people new to the city. the NEIGHBORHOODS have names for that reason; south philly starts at south street. if you want to get specific, you say grad hospital or italian market or bella vista or grays ferry or moyamensing, etc...
i get that people say "real" south philly starts at ____, not ____, but that's really not how the city works.
