it is, kinda. it's an east coast city but insanely affordable (though nutter is pushing a 25% property tax increase which may affect rental costs).
there are lots of things to like about this city, but it often tests your patience, trust.
the fact that you're into riding is a huge plus, as our mas trans blows, and driving in a city is sorta like using one of those electric scooters in a supermarket (slow, less convenient than moving around yourself and a nuisance for those around you).
philly also has this odd corny air about it, sorta like a rent-a-cop who takes himself too seriously.
buy a copy of philadelphia magazine or twoonefive mag or visit first friday once you get here to see what i mean. it's like a big silly joke that is unaware of its absurdity...
that said, there are lots of fun ways to invest your time here, and you will eventually find a crew(s) you love, but you'll always kinda be reminded that you live here.

I have the same problem with my shoulder, everytime I have a bad fall it pops out and I have to get it back in place

by the way, did you think Mel Gibsons character (Sergeant Martin Riggs) in "Lethal Weapon" was the ****? I did, till I had my shoulder injury and had to pop it back in the first time, now I say Riggs can kiss my ass!

8) yeah, i'm ok relatively speaking. it hurts to type key combos with my left hand (ctrl+whatever) and my shoulder is uncomfortable from time to time, but i'll live. the bars and the side of my pedals are scraped but appear to be ok otherwise. riding tomorrow, hope it's all better by then.
