University City is a complete rip. But if you want to see REAL rip-off real estate, visit Temple.
A small apartment by one of the apartment companies (Kardon, Oxford, etc) is about 800 a month per person. $3200 a month for a small place is NOT right.
That said, next year I'm living in U City.
